The scholarship fund teams up with cchs football!
The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle is once again helping to cheer on the Concord-Carlisle High School football team by sponsoring a 50/50 raffle. The Scholarship Fund will sell tickets at the Patriots’ home opening football game against the Lexington Minutemen on September 20th at 7:00 pm at Memorial Stadium, with the drawing at halftime. The winning ticket holder will receive half of the raffle sales and all net proceeds will be used by The Scholarship Fund to support need-based college scholarships for students who live in or have graduated from secondary school in Concord or Carlisle.
Bee Loprete, Chair of The Scholarship Fund says of the event, “The best part about living in small towns like Concord and Carlisle is coming together for a wonderful evening to support our kids, and that support is the very mission of The Scholarship Fund. In addition, The Scholarship Fund has a special connection to game because CCHS Hall of Fame Coach Al Robichaud’s family established a named fund in 1997 to honor his 29 years of teaching science and coaching football at CCHS, and his son, current head football coach Mike Robichaud and a recipient himself of support from The Scholarship Fund while in college, has been a strong advocate of The Scholarship Fund for years. We are thrilled to be back at the Patriots’ first home game for a fourth year, and we hope the 50/50 raffle brings a little extra excitement to a great night.”
In 2019, The Scholarship Fund awarded almost $280,000 in scholarships to students from Concord, Carlisle, and Boston; in the last 52 years, more than $3 million dollars has been awarded to over 1400 students.
Raffle pricing will be $1 for 1 ticket, $5 for 6 tickets and $10 for 15 tickets. For additional details about the raffle, contact Bee Loprete, Chair of The Scholarship Fund, at info@ccscholarshipfund.org.
