Concord and Carlisle businesses, organizations, and governmental entities that sponsor their own scholarships are encouraged to become affiliates of The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle. By doing so, the task of applying for scholarship assistance is greatly simplified for applicants. In addition, the affiliates are ensured a large, comprehensive pool of candidates and additional benefits are possible. All affiliate scholarships must be need based scholarships and all Affiliates are expected to follow these guidelines.

What services does The Scholarship Fund provide to affiliates?
The Scholarship Fund consolidates awards notification to students, consolidates awards notifications and payments to colleges and furthers the equitable distribution of community scholarship resources. The details of these services can be viewed in the affiliate guidelines.
What are affiliates expected to do to support the affiliate relationship with The Scholarship Fund?
Affiliates are expected to:
Pay their award funds, in full, to The Scholarship Fund by May 1st unless prior arrangements have been made.
In publicity, press releases, advertising, printed materials and at special events, Affiliates will link their name with The Scholarship Fund to clearly communicate the relationship between the two organizations.
When printed materials are prepared for special events promoting Affiliate scholarships The Scholarship Fund brand signature will be used whenever appropriate.
Clearly state that the Affiliate is raising money for its own scholarship that is administered by The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle.

Is there a charge to be an affiliate?
Although there is significant administrative effort associated with affiliate scholarships there is not currently an administration fee that the affiliate is required to pay.
Is there a contract between the affiliate and The Scholarship Fund?
Although there is not a formal contract the expectation is that Affiliates will follow the guidelines.
As an affiliate, can I choose who gets the scholarship?
No, to comply with IRS regulations The Scholarship Fund selects the scholarship awardee. Affiliates are welcome to provide input in the award process through the scholarship criteria.
As an affiliate do I pay the college or does The Scholarship Fund take care of that?
The college is paid by The Scholarship Fund.
When is the scholarship payment due to The Scholarship Fund?
The money for the affiliate scholarship is due to The Scholarship Fund no later than May 1st.
Is there a minimum amount for an affiliate scholarship?
Yes, given the significant cost of a college education we ask that any affiliate scholarship be a minimum of $1,000 per student.
What if the scholarship is merit based and not based on financial need?
All affiliate scholarships are based on financial need, The Scholarship Fund does not administer affiliate merit based scholarships.
