Answer the call! 2022 scholarship fund of concord and carlisle phoneathon set for march 13-14
press release: 3/3/2022
The Phonathon is back! Concord-Carlisle High School students will be making calls from the CCHS cafeteria on Sunday, March 13th and Monday, March 14th in order to raise money for The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle.
The importance for funding students is a key to supporting of The Scholarship Fund’s mission to raise funds to provide need-based college scholarships for students who live in or have graduated from secondary schools in Concord or Carlisle. The Scholarship Fund has been supporting students for 55 years and to date has awarded over $3 million in scholarships toward post-secondary education.
The students will gather in the CCHS cafeteria to place approximately 3,500 calls to Concord and Carlisle residents. Phonathon Chair and CCHS teacher Bee Loprete says, “The success of the Phonathon hinges on these kids and the Concord and Carlisle residents who answer their calls. Our students work so hard to help people to understand the mission of The Scholarship Fund, which is focused solely on supporting students with unmet need to achieve their post-secondary school goals. Every year, our kids rise to the occasion, and so do the townspeople people of Concord and Carlisle.”
What can you do to make a difference in an aspiring scholar’s life? It’s simple. Pick up your phone when students call, ask any questions you have about The Scholarship Fund, and please consider donating. No amount is too small-- every tax-deductible donation invests in the future of our local youth by making their college journeys more obtainable.
Since 1966, The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle has supported more than 1,400 students from the Concord and Carlisle communities. For more information on The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle, please visit our website www.thescholarshipfundofcc.org
