THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND APPLICATION PROCESS
press release: 1/27/2022
Does your graduating senior need college tuition money? Thanks to the generosity and support of our community, every year many students receive scholarships from The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle, and from its Affiliates, to help them achieve their goals of higher education. Last spring, 14 high school seniors and 38 students already in college received awards totaling over $275,000 with an average scholarship value exceeding $6,000 for first year students! Each award is made for one academic year and students are encouraged to reapply for an award during each of their four years. Accredited post-secondary training programs such as technical or trade schools count as well!
These are the “Six Easy Steps to Apply”:
1. Visit https://www.thescholarshipfundofcc.org/
2. Use the on-line application or print it out if you prefer
3. Submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible
4. Request official school transcript be mailed to The Scholarship Fund (address on application)
5. Submit application and a copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR) to The Scholarship Fund by April 1, for in-college students, by May 1 for graduating high school seniors and/or first year college applicants.
6. Participate in The Scholarship Fund interview in early May (first year applicants only)
It is essential that these steps be followed closely. Every year some students delay requesting their official transcripts or submit the application too late for consideration. We will accept applications any day up until the due date, but not a day later.
For high school seniors with demonstrated financial need, if all three parts of the application (application, SAR, and official transcript) are complete and uploaded or postmarked by the above deadline, the student will receive an email notification of their interview time. Interviews will be held on Thursday, May 12th, 2022 via Zoom.
