The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle Announces Its Officers and Trustees for the 2022-2023 Year

The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle is pleased to announce our 2022-2023 Officers:  Travis Minor of Acton and an alumnus of Concord-Carlisle High School will continue as Chair of the Board of Trustees, Hanna Bruno of Concord has been appointed Assistant Chair, Bee Loprete of Concord, takes on the new role of Secretary, Steve Payne of Salem, NH and formerly of Concord continues as Treasurer, and Al Powers of Carlisle as Assistant Treasurer.

At the year-end Scholarship Fund board meeting in June, Board Chair Travis Minor recognized the retirement of Ken Anderson and Elaine DiCicco as active Trustees while at the same meeting it was voted unanimously to name Ken Trustee Emeritus and Elaine Trustee Emerita. Ken was a past Chair and served on The Scholarship Fund board for 21 years. His enthusiasm for the organization and his countless contributions to the organization earned him the distinctive new title. Elaine was also a past Chair and also served the board for 21 years. She was most notably The Scholarship Fund Secretary for many of those years, applying her institutional knowledge, meeting minute expertise, organizational skills, and attention to detail expertly in service to The Scholarship Fund.

Associate Trustees Guida Mattison and Kathleen Snook have been named full Trustees.

In addition, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Tara Johnson and Priscilla Guiney both of Concord, as new Associate Trustees.

Tara Johnson is a marketing strategist, designer and photographer who’s worked in the creative space for over 15 years. Tara is the founder of AlchemyThree, a design agency whose primary focus is to support passionate entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses striving to do good in the world. Tara lives in Concord with her husband and 2 young children.

Priscilla Guiney completed her M.Ed. at Stanford and began her high school teaching career in the California public school system. A Massachusetts native, she returned in 1988 and taught Biology at CCHS for 30 years. Priscilla and her husband Pat raised their three children in Concord, all CCHS graduates, including Marielle ’06, Chris ’10 and Caitlin ’11. She currently works for the school district as a sustainability advisor while sharing her passion for the environment with students and the community.

The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle looks forward to a productive and successful 2022-2023 season of activity and fundraising.
