Press Release

The Concord Carlisle Scholarship Fund Phonathon is Coming

The Concord Carlisle Scholarship Fund is gearing up its annual Phonathon on Sunday, March 16th, continuing on Monday, March 17th.  Eighty Concord-Carlisle High School students from the National Honor Society will be gathering in the donated space of the Fenn School cafeteria, and together they will place approximately 3,500 calls to Concord and Carlisle townspeople in order to raise funds.

The CCSF Phonathon raises money to help provide need-based college scholarships to students who live in or have attended school in Concord or Carlisle.  The Fund has been supporting students for over 45 years, and has awarded over $2 million in money toward college.

CCSF Phonathon Chair Bee Loprete is especially excited this year that Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty has agreed to match dollar-for-dollar the first telephone pledges received on March 16th up to $1,000.00.  “We think it is wonderful to see a town business like Barrett demonstrating so much support for our students’ futures, and we hope to see more businesses follow suit with their own pledge challenges in the coming years,” says Loprete.

Listen for your phone call, March 16th or 17th!
